Coach Biography

Michelle Taylor

When Michelle first moved to Invermere in 2004 she dreamed of doing something that would bring people together to improve their fitness and running goals while enjoying the incredible beauty of the outdoors. 


2007 triathlon clinics were added to the programs offered by CVLS. 2008 Adult boot Camps were added and this year the addition of Children's sport and recreation camps over the spring break and kids triathlon workshops were developed.


2009 marks the fifth year of coaching in the Columbia Valley.

Michelle brings a great deal of experience and passion to the clinics through many past experiences both personal and professional including:

 

Bachelor’s Degree, Honors Physical Education

 

Minor Recreation Administration

 

 

Nordic Pole Walking Instructor Certification

 

NCCP National Coaching Certification Program

 

Received the status of "Trained" Level from Coaching Triathlon Canada. Currently working on Comp 1 National Certification Level

 

Coaching Level One Cross Country Skiing Certification

 

STFA, OLFP, AFLCA Past Fitness Certifications

 

Personal Fitness Trainer for 6 years

 

Competed in du-athlons, triathlons, and 10km to marathon distance road races

 

Non-Playing Jr. Golf Team Captain at

National and International competitions

 

 

Developed sport and recreation camps for youth (Edmonton Parks and Recreation) for 6 years
